High School Graduates Ten
Midland added 10 more graduates to our alumni on May 27, as the class of 2012 marched down the aisle for the last time as Midland students. The ceremonies included an address by Melissa Willer (class president and valedictorian), graduation remarks by Jason Donovan (class sponsor), awards of diplomas and a variety of scholarships, and a final benediction by Keith Vollmer. A Sunday photo gallery is available, with more pictures coming soon from class night. Best of luck, grads, as you countinue with your journey to excellence!
Eighth Graders Move to the Other Wing
When the 8th Grade class of 2012 stepped off the stage on May 23, they magically turned into the Freshman class of 2016! After the 7th graders led the 10 eighth graders into the gym, the class of 2012 made a variety of tributes, both to staff and to parents. After class president (and valedictorian) Erin Burke entertained her class by comparing each one to the ingredients of a cake, Pastor Kochenower shared his wise commencement thoughts with the graduates. Principal Trudy Hoffman and Registrar Darlene Fairchild brought the ceremonies to a peak, handing out diplomas to the worthy class members. The new high schoolers finished their graduation by presenting a new banner as a class gift. A photo gallery can be found here.
Midland's kindergarten class of 2024 graduated the morning of May 24, one of three graduations at Midland within a five-day span. Ms. Wallace and Mrs. Hoffman represented the Midland staff, and the students celebrated like there was no tomorrow. With more than 100 faces in the audience, the kinders put on a great show of just what they have learned this school year. Welcome to 1st grade!
