Dear Parents,

Trudy Hoffman, Principal
Welcome to the Principal's Page. I remember learning that when you spell the words principle or principal, just remember that the school principal is always your "pal", and that rule has stuck with me for all these years. While I'm sure that students don't usually think of their principal as their pal, I would like to think that students feel that the school principal is someone that they can trust to provide a safe environment where they can grow academically, spiritually, and socially every day.

This year Jeremiah 29:11-13 has become the text that will identify our school year. "For I know the plans I have for you," says the Lord. "Plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope."  I have challenged our students to claim this promise as their own by taking out the word "you" in this text and first putting in their name, and then putting in Midland.

"For I know the plans I have for Mrs. Hoffman..." and "I know the plans I have for Midland..." But we cannot stop with verse 11, because the secret for knowing God's special plan for each student and for Midland is found in verse 13: "If you look for me, you will find me when you seek me with all of your heart."  I believe that we will know God's plans for us and for Midland if we will look for Him and seek Him with all our hearts.

Each day, 150 students enter the doors of Midland with the opportunity to learn in a Christ-like environment. The staff at Midland take that challenge very seriously. We recognize that every day at Midland

counts in the lives of our students. But we also know that each child is unique, and when school and home join hands, we create a better opportunity for a stronger learning experience that will support life-long learning.   With this goal in mind, I would like to invite you to join me each Monday at 8:15am in the library for Parents and Principal Partner in Prayer as together we invite the presence of the Holy Spirit to dwell in our school, our classrooms, and our homes.

The purpose of this page will be to share interesting facts, school information, and helpful parenting ideas as together we make the school success of your child a priority

Please check out the Articles Link on the left to read selected features that will provide you with information, parenting tips, school success, and family fun ideas. We look forward to partnering with you this year on your child's journey to educational excellence.

Trusting in Him,
Mrs. Hoffman
