Dear Parents,

Trudy Hoffman, Principal
Welcome to the Principal’s Page. Here we are at the beginning of a “new” year and a “new” semester. There is something exciting about the word  “new”. It is a word that suggests opportunity. Opportunity for fresh beginnings filled with  first time choices and experiences. The Lord was aware that we would need new opportunities to grow and do things differently. He gives us a special beginning each morning so we can learn from yesterday and make better decisions for today and tomorrow.

In Isaiah 65:17 the Lord declares, "Behold, I will create new heavens and a new earth." What a wonderful promise it is to know that the Lord understands the importance of new beginnings! He also reminds us in Colossians 3:10 that we are to "put on a new self, which is being renewed in knowledge in the image of our Creator." Yes, “new” is an exciting word, not only filled with opportunity but also hope; the hope found some day in the new earth.

I would like to challenge us this year to discover new ways that our families can grow closer to the Lord, and share His love with others. This is also a great opportunity to make a renewed commitment in our support to

Christian education at Midland Adventist Academy. Students, you have the chance to make good grades, be prompt to school and classes, be a faithful friend, and be a Godly influence for our school. Parents, you have an opportunity to provide a home where worship and learning are a priority. The word “new” is filled with so much promise and hope. So let’s not miss the opportunity to begin now with new commitments to God and our families so that this New Year will bring changes in our lives, and the lives of those we care about that will last for eternity.

Below you will find our second quarter and first semester honor roll. Congratulations to all of these hard-working students. We also realize that there are some very hard-working students who are not on this list, and we would like to congratulate them as well. Midland has amazing students and we are proud of them all! Have a great second semester.

Blessings in Him,
Mrs. Hoffman
