Kansas City Adventist Youth Softball League

During the summer months, Midland plays host to the Kansas City Adventist Youth Softball League, a recreational league for boys and girls pre-K through 4th grade. Started in 1997 by Bill Robertson, hundreds of kids have played softball and t-ball on the school diamonds. In fact, many of the members of the original 2006 Midland Mustangs baseball team got their start playing in the KCAYSL.

This year, the league will begin with a practice on Wednesday, May 30 and will run through the month of June. T-ball and coach-pitch softball will be the format again this year. Coaches and umpires for all levels are needed. Please note that games will be on Monday and Wednesday evenings. Rosters and schedules are now available online.

If your son or daughter (pre-K – 4th grade) is interested in playing, registration this year will be done electronically. Please email Jason Hansen (jason@hansentribe.com) with the following information:

  • Player's name
  • Player's age
  • Contact phone #

The fee for the league is $40, and each player will receive a game t-shirt. We also require a medical release form be signed and submitted. All questions should also be sent via email to Coach Jason. Let’s play ball!!
