The late Coach John Wooden once said "Sports do not build character, they reveal it." That's one of the reasons that Midland coaches do their best to teach players how to perform both on the field, and off the field. Midland fans and players are proud to be Mustangs, but are equally proud to be Midland.

 Cross Country Team

The cross-country season begins on August 31, and we have 9 meets on the calendar for 2017. Our athletic department at Midland would like to encourage all students who are thinking about playing any sport--be it volleyball, basketball, or soccer--or if you just want to get into shape or build a good, healthy habit, to consider joining the cross country team. We want to have both a boys’ and girls’ team, and have a good strong showing at each event we attend.

Cross country is an excellent sport. It can be as competitive as you want it to be, and it will help you feel great and do better in school. Please see Coach Sickler or Cross-country coach Mr. Karr for more information. There will be meets on the following days, with invitationals yet to be determine:

  • August 31 (Jeff West Invitational)
  • September 7 (Bishop Miege HS/Lexington Trails MS), 13 (Turner Invitational), 14, 18, 19, 28
  • October 3 (Barstow HS), 11 (Barstow MS)

AcroClub Home Show

AcroClubMidland's AcroClub Home Show in May 2017 attracted an audience of more than 200 people, including many awe-struck elementary students. The 16-member gymnastics team presented their AcroFest routine, as well as several other routines based on "Finding Nemo" and "Finding Dory" culminating in the spiritually-uplifting routine "Finding Jesus."
