Supply List - Elementary

Below are the school supply lists for our various elementary classrooms, freshly updated for the 2016-2017 school year!

Kindergarten school supplies - Mrs. Murphy

Instead of a long list of supplies, I am asking each parent to provide $22.00.
I will be able to buy supplies in bulk, and save each family some money.

1st Grade school supplies - Mrs. Prosser

3rd & 4th Grade school supplies - Mrs. Hoffman and Mrs. Rincon


  • Sturdy backpack*
  • Sturdy lunch container*
  • 4 three holed PLASTIC pocket folders.*
  • 1 inch Clearview cover 3-ring binder.  Any color.* 
  • 1 pkg - wide-line notebook paper - NO SPIRAL PLEASE
  • 4 – composition notebooks (not spiral) – assorted colors*
  • 20 - #2 YELLOW lead pencils (sharpened preferably) - NO MECHANICAL PENCILS PLEASE (the colorful pencils have a plastic coating that breaks our electric pencil sharpener)
  • Crayola Classic Color Pack Crayons, Tuck Box, 24 Colors* (you may want to get two boxes while they are on sale because crayons get broken through-out the school year.)
  • 4 –Sharpie Highlighters . Blue, pink, or green. NO YELLOW
  • 1 - standard size (9x3x5.5 approx.) school supply box.*
  • Glue sticks – package of 6-8  
  • 1 pkg. dry erase markers
  • 1 pkg. pink erasers*

Other non-school supplies
  • 2 box of tissues
  • 1 large container of disinfectant wipes
  • water bottle* (this must be taken home weekly to be washed)
  • Colored pencils*
  • Ear buds for the computer*
  • Washable markers* - preferably broad tip - you may want to get 2 boxes of these while they are on sale. Students prefer Crayola brand.
I will be purchasing scissors for each student.

5th & 6th Grade school supplies - Mr. Perry

The following is a list of classroom supplies every student should have.
Other items may be requested during the course of the school year.
  • Binder with four double pocket folders and college-ruled loose leaf paper.  (please, no spiral bound paper)
  • Black or blue and red ink pens. (erasable preferred, no bright colors)
  • Ruler with standard and metric measurements
  • Protractor 
  • Pencils (name brand, good quality) and erasers
  • Color markers or pencils
  • Two Large Kleenex boxes – (will be collected by the teacher)
  • Pocket dictionary & thesaurus (middle school or high school level)
  • Water bottle (no straws)
  • Backpack or book bag
  • Thumb drive or comparable device
  • Calculator with basic functions (+, -, x, /, square root)

7th & 8th Grade school supplies - Mr. Hallock

  • Sturdy backpack
  • Black or blue ink pens
  • Red ink pens
  • Water bottle
  • 1 Kleenex box & 1 Clorox Wipes
  • A big binder with 5 pocket folders for each different subject
  • Loose-leaf Paper (NO SPIRAL NOTEBOOKS!) 
  • Scientific Calculator (TI-30XIIS) - basic calculators, phone calculators, etc will not be sufficient!
  • Pencils
  • Erasers
  • Graph paper
  • Protractor
  • Ruler
  • Bible 
  • Personal devotional books 
Language Arts
  • Three-ring binder 
  • Pocket dictionary and thesaurus (high school level)
  • 1 Writing Composition notebook
  • Personal reading books - students should have a collection of books or access to books that are of high interest to them and that are appropriate to their reading level. It is important that they have these throughout the school year.  
  • 1 Writing Composition notebook
Art--(some art supplies may be shared among the students in class)
  • 1 Sketchpad
  • Glue stick
  • Scissors
  • Markers
  • 7th--Colored pencils
  • 8th—Crayons
  • Thumb drive or comparable device
  • The students will need to set up a Gmail address.  Parents, if you want to set one up before school starts or set up one for your child to use so that you can monitor their activity, that would be great    
  • Electronic devices—Students can bring phones, tablets, etc from home that they will be allowed to use at selected times for academic purposes. See my phone policy in the 7th and 8th grade handbook for more information on electronic device
Mr. Borne’s Science Supplies
  • 3-ring binder with section dividers
  • (Scientific Calculator will also be needed for this class)
P.E. Supplies
Uniforms consisting of any of the following:
  • Shirts:  Midland shirt or solid-color T-shirt that covers shoulders and waistline
  • Sweats/Shorts:  any color, must be finger-tip length or longer
  • Shoes:  Athletic non-marring soles
  • Socks:  Yes
