Choir for a 7th and 8th grade is a time to focus on maturing the vocal sound and to sharpen sight-reading skills. The requirements for being in choir are a great attitude and the desire to focus on a vocal journey. As opposed to High School choir, there are only 1-2 performances per semester to enable students to focus on perfecting the vocal skills they will need in High School.

Students should practice good breathing technique, proper body alignment, sight-reading skills, and listening to quality music.

Students are required to spend 15 minutes a week listening to programed music for our concerts. These links are available on our website under current pieces. Each week Mrs. Bruette will assign a particular set of pieces to listen to; students must then post on Facebook or email that they have listened to their assigned pieces.
