Technology II Within a problem-solving and authentic learning environment, students will use and apply a variety of equipment and technical considerations in multimedia productions. Students will produce simple slide shows, dynamic digital videos, digital stories, podcasts, and blogs. Topics covered include camera composition, lighting, action filming, interviewing, sound, and editing in conjunction with the use of software programs such as MovieMaker and Audacity. (Units 10, Semesters 2)
Technology I In a workshop environment, students will learn the use and applications of MS Word and PowerPoint, basic desktop publishing, digital photography, and basic internet operations as it relates to educational and business activities. Students will need an active gmail account in order to access all the Google programs under consideration, including Blogger (blogging will be a key integrated component of the course). Study skills and using technology to advance one's educational prospects will be covered in the first quarter. (Units 10, Semesters 2, required freshman course)
