Girls Middle School Basketball
The Girls Middle School basketball season has been cancelled due to a lack of players. Their season would have started with a home game against Centerplace on November 22.
Practice will continue, as Coach Resz will be doing skill drills with the players who did try out for the team.
Kim Resz, Head coach: This is Kim's second year coaching the Middle School Girls Basketball team. Last year was not only a learning experience for the girls, but for her as well. Kim truly enjoys working with and teaching these young ladies the fundamentals of the game, while encouraging not only the physical, but the mental aspect of the sport.
Kim says, "I believe that every player has something to offer to the team; wins and losses don’t matter as long as we do our best. I hope that in the short amount of time I spend with these young ladies to not only foster a respect for the game, but to emphasize the importance of teamwork and relationships – always putting God first and using basketball as a witness to show our love for Him."
Basketball has always been one of her favorite sports both to play and to watch. Kim started playing basketball at a very young age, learning from her dad who was also a player and a coach. March is one of Kim's very favorite times of the year; she can be found cheering on the Kansas Jayhawks and the Wichita State Shockers!
