Kansas City Youth Rally
Updated: Jul 11, 2012

God Is for Us!

No one can stand against us.

This year's annual Youth Rally took place at Midland on Nov. 11-12. Students from Kansas City, Wichita, Leavenworth, Kingsville, and other areas attended Friday night and Sabbath meetings, enjoying a variety of activities and good food. On Sabbath afternoon the students found out if they were "Guilty of Christianity?". After a pizza supper on Sabbath evening, 13 teams took to the court (not all at one time) for a great 3-on-3 basketball tournament.

Speaker - Pastor Greg Taylor

Our speaker was Pastor Greg Taylor. He is the Youth Director for the Wisconsin Conference. Greg and his wife Kim were married in June 2000 and share a passion for youth and teaching ministry.

A graduate of Andrews University, Greg has worked in Michigan, Maryland, and Indiana before accepting the position in Wisconsin. Greg's hobbies include running marathons, basketball, and playing guitar. The marathons are especially helpful in keeping up with their two children, Matthew and Joshua! (hold your cursor over the pictures to see the captions)

Music - Pastor Michael Paradise

Michael ParadiseMichael Paradise is easily recognized in Kansas City and by youth all over the Kansas-Nebraska Conference. He served as Youth Director here from 2006-2009. He is currently the Young Adult Pastor at College View Church in Lincoln, NE. Music and praise were led by Pastor Michael and a group of students from Union College, including Midland alums Mikey Archibeque and Azriel Peckham.

Michael and his wife Alana have one boy, Isaiah, and will soon have two more children! Michael enjoys baking bread, and taking long walks on the beach during his spare time. (hold your cursor over the pictures to see the captions)
