Home for Midland K-12
You can never say that Midland doesn't have an interesting variety of fund-raisers. Here are just a sample; feel free to participate in any or ALL of them!
Trash Bag Sales
High quality trash bags are available now! These trash bags are such high quality, they sell themselves. Buyers become repeat customers! Please order from your favorite Midland student (or the Home & School at 913-909-3606) Checks can be made payable to Midland Adventist Academy, and money should be collected when your order is taken.
Bags are $11 a roll, and come in three different sizes:
- Blue 55 gallon (super size, 16 bags/roll)
- Yellow 39 gallon (25 bags/roll)
- White 15 gallon (tall kitchen, 65 bags/roll)
Please note that one case of bags (10 rolls) weighs approximately 50 lbs. Your order will need to be picked up at school, as the rolls of bags are too heavy to send home with your child. Let’s all get behind this effort! Buy your bag supply from us and offer them to relatives, friends, and neighbors. All profits go to the Midland Home & School, which works to make a positive difference for our students.
Here is a chance to support a worthy student at Midland AND give to Midland’s Home & School project of renovating the bathrooms—BOTH without spending any more money than you already are!

Scrip fundraising is a no-selling program that allows families to raise money for their non-profit organization—Midland Adventist Academy. Scrip is just another way to pay for everyday purchases using gift cards in place of cash, checks, and credit cards. You purchase gift cards from Midland at face value, and our coordinator, Christina Svoboda, orders those cards from Great Lakes Scrip Center at a reduced price. The difference is an instant rebate for Midland.
We will credit ½ of the rebate to a student of your choice and apply the other ½ of the rebate to the Home & School project. It is that simple. Will you help us? Order deadlines are as follows:
How to Target Midland
Target has donated more than $6,200.00 to MAA (through August 2015) based on customers using their RED card. Currently there are 30 RED cad holders who have designated Midland as the charity to receive 1% whenever they make purchases (which is more than double what we had last year). Would you be willing to help us grow that number? If you have a RED card, you can click here to "target" Midland!
One Midland parent shared, “I’m not sure how many people associated with Midland have a Red card at Target. I love it because we get 5% off on all of our purchases (Target has the lowest price I’ve found on Morning Star Farm and Garden products even before this discount), AND another 1% goes to Midland.”
AmazonSmile is a simple and automatic way for you to support your favorite charitable organization every time you shop, at no cost to you. When you shop at smile.amazon.com, you’ll find the exact same low prices, vast selection and convenient shopping experience as Amazon.com, with the added bonus that Amazon will donate a portion of the purchase price to your favorite charitable organization.
You can choose from nearly one million organizations to support—including Midland Adventist Academy. The AmazonSmile Foundation will donate 0.5% of the purchase price from your eligible AmazonSmile purchases. The purchase price is the amount paid for the item minus any rebates and excluding shipping & handling, gift-wrapping fees, taxes, or service charges.
Chieftan Apples (check back in 2015)
The Senior class at Midland Adventist Academy is selling apples again this fall, with an order deadline of October 10th. These apples are orchard fresh and will be picked and delivered to us within days of picking. They are coming from an orchard in Iowa, and have a sweet flavor with a crisp crunch. The Chieftain variety is a cross between Red Delicious and Jonathan varieties. Originally created in the state of Iowa, this is a true Midwestern apple
- Chieftains store well without getting mushy quickly
- Great for making applesauce because they are sweet
- Great eating apples as well as for pie
