Home for Midland K-12
Mrs. Rincon was born in Indianapolis, Indiana but her family moved to Kansas when she was five. She attended Midland Adventist School, as it was then known, from first to tenth grade. Mrs. Hoffman was her 5th and 6th grade teacher and one of Mrs. Rincon's favorites!
After graduating from Union College in 1999 with a degree in Elementary Education, she had the opportunity to teach 2nd grade at Midland for two years. In 2001, Mrs. Rincon took a job as a 2nd grade teacher at Spring Valley Academy in Dayton, Ohio.
Missing home, she moved back to the Kansas City area in 2004, then taught in the Shawnee Mission Public School District as an elementary special education teacher for seven years. She has spent the last several years as a reading and math tutor with Bluestem Learning, as well as teaching at Midland.
Mrs. Rincon says, "Along with having a huge passion for teaching, I also enjoy painting, reading, running and exercise."
You'd be surprised to know that...
Mrs. Rincon has completed two marathons.
Mrs. Rincon is married to Troy Rincon, who also enjoys the love of teaching. He has moved on from teaching kids to teaching adults for a software company. They have two beautiful daughters, Avery (2nd grade) and Addison (4th grade).
