Background

Pastor Anthony was born in Alabama, though grew up in upstate New York where his father, Dan Whitlow was the New York Conference Youth Director. He initially attended Parkview Junior Academy but later attended (and graduated from) Union Springs Academy. He completed his undergraduate Bachelor of Arts degree in Theology from Southern Adventist University in 2015.

Throughout his life, Pastor Anthony has been involved with Adventurers and Pathfinders; various extra curricular programs at Union Springs Academy such as soccer, band (trombone), choir, basketball, National Honor Society, gymnastics, and community service. While at Southern he was part of Gym-Masters, officiated in intramural sports, preached a full evangelistic series in Cagayan De Oro, Philippines, and spent a school year as an associate dean student missionary in New Zealand.

Pastor Anthony spent many summers at Camp Cherokee in the New York Conference where he lead out in numerous activities. Starting with maintenance and painting, he ended up as Waterfront Director, Boys Director, and Assistant Camp Director. Anthony has also worked at Camp Winnekeag in Massachusetts as Camp Pastor and Broken Arrow Ranch as American Camping Association (ACA) advisor.

You'd be surprised to know that...

Pastor Anthony has snowboarded down an active volcano in New Zealand and can do a backflip!
