Union College Music Festival
Members of Midland's choir are currently at Union College for the 59th Annual MAU Music Festival. This event attracts hundreds of high school students from around the Mid-America Union, and gives the students a chance to enjoy music on a LARGE scale. Junior Jacob Prosser said on Thursday, "Eight hours of singing in one day!"
Midland's choir sang during the Friday night vespers (picture below from Union's LiveFeed), and received a long round of applause after presenting "We Will Keep Our Faith Alive". The mass festival choir will perform on Sabbath evening. Thanks to Mrs. Bruette for arranging this trip for our choir.

Keith Vollmer to Retire
After teaching at Midland Adventist Academy for over 41 years, Mr. Vollmer has announced that he will be retiring at the close of this school year. Midland was Mr. Vollmer's first job, and he liked it so well that he stayed and made it his last job. We have been richly blessed by his ministry at Midland and we are seeing the fruits of that ministry as several students that he has taught are now sending their children to Midland. Mr. and Mrs. Vollmer will still be "hanging" around as they attend activities that their four grandchildren, who are currently enrolled at MAA, are involved in.
We are putting together a Memory Book for Mr. Vollmer. Please send congratulations, a memory, photo, or story to: maa@midlandacademy.org by alumni weekend, February 10 & 11.
