Midland Adventist Academy is operated by the Seventh-day Adventist Church to provide a spiritually oriented education for children. A belief in the existence of the Creator God is fundamental in the philosophy of Seventh-day Adventist schools. We respect His divine authority and recognize His intervention in human affairs. We believe that true education develops the spiritual, mental, and physical powers of each student; preparing them for the joy of service in this life and for the higher joy of service in the life to come. To achieve this goal, we encourage each student to:
Bringing students to Jesus through daily worship time and Bible classes is a natural part of Adventist education. However, at its best, Adventist education is also about leading students to a lifelong dedication of service to others. It is at the very core of our message as found in the great gospel commission, "Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Ghost." Matthew 28:19.
Our schools are a training ground to provide our youth with a strong understanding of their church's beliefs and prepare them for service and soul winning wherever their future leads. “With such an army of workers as our youth, rightly trained, might furnish, how soon the message of a crucified, risen and soon-coming Saviour might be carried to the whole world." - Counsels to Teachers, Parents and Students p. 555.
