New Staff

Midland will have three new staff this school year, here are brief overviews on the new folks in town!

Kristie Deutsch (1st/2nd grade) - Ms. Kristie Deutsch has demonstrated a lifelong commitment to Christian education, and especially to Midland Academy. She is a former student of Midland, a former teacher at Midland in grades 2, 3 and 4, and has been a faithful substitute teacher here for many years. She is a mom with five children who all attended Midland, and a grandmother besides! Her nurturing personality is obvious as well as her commitment to our students. Kristie has been part of the Midland community, and will continue the standard of excellence that Midland students are accustomed to.

Megan Wehling (5th/6th grade) - Mrs. Wehling is a new graduate in elementary education from Union College. She is excited to join as the 5th and 6th grade teacher for this coming year. Her student teaching has been in 5th-8th grades, so she is looking forward to working with that age group for her first year of teaching! Just married this summer, she and her husband Caleb are both happy to be living in the Kansas City area and getting to know the community.

Brandon Beneche - (7th/8th) - Mr. Beneche is a graduate of Southern Adventist University and a learner-centered teacher who uses a variety of methods to help his students reach high academic standards. He is dedicated to helping his students build a stronger relationship with Jesus. Brandon and his wife Hannah, also a graduate of Southern, have moved to the midwest from Canada. They are excited to join the Midland Adventist Academy family and contribute to our school and churches.
