GPAC Champions!

Congrats to our Guys Varsity for their championship win Monday night in the GPAC Tournament. The Mustangs finished up a successful 19-3 season with a hard-fought 59-53 win over Christ Prep to claim the tournament title.

Midland got out to a 13-point lead in the third quarter thanks to several critical three-pointers, then held on to finish the victory in style. More than 100 Midland fans filled "our" half of the gym, and the chants of MAA! MAA! rang throughout the game.

Junior Michael Henry was named the tournament MVP, and took the time to put on his Midland Basketball shirt for pictures - way to wear the Mustang!

Coach Biographies

Kurtis Cowan, Head Coach: Coach K returns for year number eight as Men’s Varsity Basketball Coach. His goal is to stress the importance of kindness, respect, diligence, and perseverance. As these traits are portrayed on the basketball court, he hopes that the students do not just become good athletes, but that they become men. If these traits can be characterized in the midst of a competitive atmosphere, they will carry over into real life. Coach K is excited about the new season and looks forward to working with each player. Off the court, Dr. Cowan practices as a Physical Therapist in the Kansas City area.

Matt Atkinson, Assistant Coach: Coach Atkinson's bio is in progress...
