If you don’t know me, my name is Camille (Darrell) Kaldahl, and I graduated from Midland Adventist Academy in 2014. Where did the time go? It seems like just yesterday I was planning banquets, shooting at the three-point line against Hyman Brand, and competing at the annual Broken Arrow Ranch retreat. Midland gave me many things to be thankful for. It pushed me to be a leader, a place where I gained lifelong friendships and most of all, became another place to call home.

After my time as a Mustang came to an end, I attended Union College in Lincoln, Nebraska to pursue a degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing and Management. Since graduation, I got married to my best friend, Jordan, began working for Shawnee Mission Health, got a dog, and became a first-time home buyer!

When I initially was asked to takeover this page, all I could think about was the fact that I am not a writer. I’ve done research papers and public speaking, but nothing quite like this! It wasn’t until I started looking at each of the honor classes this year that I knew there were stories to be told. So here I am, writing.

I want to write about the incredible things graduates have accomplished and hear how their journeys began in and then surpassed these red brick walls. For in the long run, every student that graduates here takes a piece of Midland with them. I hope if you’re reading this, that you enjoy seeing a glimpse of those that have walked these same halls and carried on the Midland spirit.
