Girls Varsity Volleyball

The first Lady Mustang varsity volleyball team took to the court in 2002 under the direction of Denison Sager. This will be the 23rd season of playing the game of bump-set-spike. The team will be coached this year by Scott Wilde, who is moving up from coaching the Girls JV team. They will have a seventeen-game regular season as well as the following tournaments:

  • GPAC
  • MAUC

The team was been one of the top four Union/MAUC tournament teams for much of it's early history. They played in the MAUC title game in the 2007, 2008, and 2015 seasons, bringing home the first place trophy in 2007.

2024 Coach Biographies

Scott Wilde - Coach Wilde's love of volleyball started in college when he participated in intramurals and started officiating.  Since college he has played recreational volleyball and officiated at both the recreational and high school levels.  After having children and seeing their love for volleyball, Coach welcomed the opportunity to coach at Midland and pass along volleyball knowledge to not only them but others as well.  Coach Wilde says, "I hope to not only help grow the volleyball skills of the players but also grow their love for Jesus and strengthen their walk with God."
